Organizing a party for someone else, specially as a surprize party can be an enormous fun!
All you need is an event, ( a baby shower, in my instance) a theme, a location (a place to held it at - depending on the size, can be your home or a church or community hall-), and a few friends willing to help you , and... Voila! Party time!!
This was a baby shower for my expecting daughter, that we did at our church fellowship hall.
For decorations, the tables each received a "baby boy" center piece, confetti and individually wrapped candy with the word "baby" on each. To finish, we used an expecting mother design napkin for each place setting. The main table received a few balloons. Everything was purchased at the Dollar Store.
The gift table was covered with a fabric in the same theme, tied with a couple of ribbons and decorated with a few printed images and balloons. Easy and simple.
When you are having a large party ask people to bring a plate of finger food or hors d’ oeuvre's of their choice.
