Welcome to my blog!
I am so glad you found me and I am thrilled to be able to share my passion with you. And it's no wonder, coming from a Transylvanian family with a rich traditions of family and friends gathering around the dinner table, cooking and baking were part of daily life. I enjoyed watching my mother in the kitchen and I can still remember, to this day, the wonderful aroma of her cooking filling the kitchen. I started at a young age writing down everything she made and later, everywhere I went, and ate something that I liked, which was a lot of times, I would not depart without first asking for the recipe, than going home and waiting with anticipation for an occasion to try the recipe out and usually, delighted with the outcome.
Many years later, I am still making those traditional recipes that I learned back home, alongside with the new ones I learned and developed later in life. You see, I love cooking and baking even more so having people to share it all with. This is what my blog is all about.
I hope that you will be inspired to try many of my recipes and find a joy in sharing them with others.
Thank you for visiting!
Enjoy your stay!

I love to travel; to visit the old countries…Romania, Hungary, Austria…
Beside the fact that I like to spend time in the kitchen (baking and cooking) I also like to travel.
... Just a few of the most recent places I've visited.
Austria
Enjoying authentic Italian pizza, in Rome....
needless to say, it tasted wonderful after all the waiting in line, (for more than an hour) to get a table...
just marvelling at all the wonderful produce in a Venetian market
A window display at one of the coffee shops...
Inside a bakery; hard to resist all the goodies...
This coastal city is considered one of the most romantic places.
Country side; beautiful scenic drives, snow covered mountain peaks, breathtaking views... They wrap your soul and make you never want to leave...
A boat ride on the canal makes you feel like you are in Venice.
One of my favourite places; California. There are so many things to do….places to see... San Francisco is just one of my favourite cities.
Great tourist attraction while in San Francisco is Pier 39. There is always some kind of entertainment going on….
No trip to San Francisco is complete without a visit to Ghirardelli's. Best ice cream sundae ever!!
I love to check out Farmer’s Markets! Love all the fresh fruits!!
Taking the scenic drive of the coastal hi-way makes for one memorable vacation.
A stop at Carmel-by-the-Sea is time well spent. The little town is filled with little shops, boutiques, art galleries, cafes and bakeries….a shopper’s paradise. Something for everyone.
I'm always tempted by the freshly baked pastries… who can resist those pretzels in the window ? :-)
This castle is a beautiful place to visit; it reminds me of Europe...
After all that walking, one needs to eat. And what better place, then at one of the local restaurants on the 3rd street Promenade; a street busy with people, shops, restaurants, cafes and live entertainment at every step. Shopping, walking, dinning...There is something for everyone
