Apple Crisp

If you like apples, this is a simple and easy recipe to try. Apple Crisp is a dessert made up of  baked apple filling and a crispy crumb topping. Love the scent of apples and cinnamon baking together and the wonderful aroma that fills the kitchen.

Serve it cold or warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or a dollop of whipped topping, like cool whip, whipping cream or coconut cream*

1 cup apricot nectar
1/3 cup honey
1/4 cup maple syrup
2 tbsp. lemon juice
8 cups sliced peeled tart apples (about 8 large)
3 tbsp. all-purpose flour
1 tsp. ground cinnamon
1/2 tsp. allspice

3/4 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 cup quick-cooking oats
1/2 cup chopped pecans, optional
1/4 cup vegetable oil
1/4 cup maple syrup

In a large bowl, combine together nectar, honey, maple syrup and lemon juice.

Arrange sliced apples in a lightly greased 9 inch x 13 inch baking dish.

In a small bowl, combine together flour, cinnamon and allspice; stir into the liquid mixture.
Spoon over apples.

Combine all the topping ingredients together. Spoon mixture over apples.

Bake in pre-heated oven at 350° for 50-60 minutes or until topping is golden brown and apples
become tender.

Serve warm with vanilla ice cream and whipped topping.
