Some people may find chocolate glazes difficult to make. This recipe is fairly easy to make. It may require a little patience to the right consistency but with a little practice, you will be able to make a great chocolate glaze.
Try this recipe next time you need a chocolate glaze.
Ingredients:
1 cup sugar
1/3 cup milk
1/4 cup cocoa
2 oz. dark chocolate, chopped
3 oz. butter, unsalted
Directions:
Place sugar, milk cocoa and chocolate into a saucepan.
Cook on medium low heat, stirring constantly, until thickens. (Glaze has reached the desired thickness when a pea size drop placed on a plate, starts to harden shortly. It will be still soft when pushed with finger but it won’t stick to it).
Remove from heat and add the butter. Stir to melt. Spread quickly over the cake; smooth top evenly with a knife. (Glaze may drip down on the sides of the cake but once placed in the refrigerator, it will harden).
Keep refrigerated until ready to serve.
Happy Glazing! :-)
