Naan bread

Ingredients:
2 tsp. yeast
1/4 cup warm milk
3/4 cup water
4 tbsp. vegetable oil + more for baking
1 tsp. salt
2 1/4 to 2 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
1 cup mashed potatoes, for filling
2-3 garlic cloves, optional*

Directions:
In a large bowl, dissolve yeast in warm milk and let stand to rise, about 10 minutes, until frothy. Stir water, 4 tablespoon oil, salt and enough flour to make a soft dough. Knead for 6 to 8 minutes on a lightly floured surface, or until smooth. Cover and set aside to rise until has doubled, for about 45 minutes.

Punch dough down onto a floured surface and divide into 10 parts. Form balls and keep them covered. Roll out each ball into a 6x8 inch surface. Place about 3-4 tablespoons of filling on one half, and fold the other half on top of filling; pinch edges to seal. Place Naan bread about 1 inch apart on an two oiled baking sheet. Turn over to grease top also. Cover and let them rise for 30 minutes.

Preheat oven to 350 F. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until they start to brown. Remove them to a covered bowl or pot. Let cool slightly before serving.
