Boudin Bakery

Boudin Sourdough at the Wharf in San Francisco.

It's a Bakery, Marketplace and Cafe, where the aroma of freshly baked sourdough will surely make you want to stay for a while and try some of their burgers or sandwiches or a soup in a bread bowl. Once you have your food you can sit on the outdoor patio, which is equipped with an outdoor fireplace and enjoy the views of the Wharf, or take a sit inside.

Stop in for breakfast, lunch or dinner or just to shop for regional delicacies and gourmet gifts.

Watching a baker, workind and shaping the dough.
He must have been used to  having  people stop and observe him, because he didn't seem to mind us all watching him through the street window.

The bread variety seems endless, ( gave up counting..), and  comes in  many different shapes and forms, some of them, quite unique.

Something different; animal shaped breads.

I love bread;  so, soup  in a bread bowl seemed an appropriate choice for lunch and I wasn't disappointed. We tried the tomato soup  and the chili and they both were delicious as so was the bread they served it in.

The  Waldorf Salad, a mixed greens salad, tossed  with  apples, cranberries, toasted pecans and crumbled cheese and served with a  vinaigrette; it was  delightful!
